A project inspired by Fernando Pessoa’s poem Mar Português. A poem that portrays the feeling of the Portuguese people at the times of the Discoveries, when men left their country and their families.
The project progressed into creating a series of hand-made patterns (one for each word of the poem) in letterpress, in order to create a visual poem to go beyond language about the Portuguese way of being.
